Do your best!
Eat better — Choose better food when you can (that’s greens, fruits, and veggies) and eat less of the stuff that makes you feel bad. Also, drink more water
Give up the vices that hold you back — Consciously lower your use of a vice you feel has a grip on you until you can quit that vice for good (you don’t need alcohol to have fun and let loose, you don’t need nicotine to remind you it’s okay to stress) it’s okay to “fall off the wagon” it’s not the end of your story.
Seek help and seek support — Confide in friends, family, or professional help who you can trust. Speaking about your problems or feelings in a safe space can help them not feel overwhelming. Do not be afraid of reaching out, everyone needs to express their feelings and sometimes bottling it up seems less intimidating but it’s worth it to open up and share.
Learn to embrace and not avoid your feelings — Express how you feel, even if it’s to yourself. It’s okay to feel sad, to feel lost, to be mad at yourself or someone else. Be patient with yourself and your emotions. Practice self-love, self-talk should be amongst friends, talk to yourself as you would life a loved one. You are deserving of love.
Cleaning really does help — Being neat and organized can feel daunting, tiresome, and something you can put off, but cleaning helps you focus and calm down. Being in a clean environment is uplifting especially if you got it there. take the time (which is shorter than we realize sometimes) to clean as often as possible. Taking care of yourself and your surrounding has too many benefits to pass up.
Practice mindfulness — Stand up, feet firm to the ground and back against the wall. Feel the contact foot-to-ground. Feel every point of contact starting at the ground and work your mindfulness up your body, the wall against the back of your legs, your back, and finally your head. Play “I spy” with yourself, “I spy 7 circles”. Be present, find those 7 circles.
Practice yoga — Do it sitting, standing, lying on your back. This art was made for everyone. Stretch and release, tense and release, breathe in and release. We are mostly water, we are forces that ebbs like the tides of the sea. Let the stress roll in and let it go right back out, you are the moon to these waters. Better control comes in time and you will make it.
Practice and patience are all you need to be the best you.
